Hey team,

Recently we started turning one of our clients weekly email newsletters into carousels for Instagram to see how they’d go as an extra piece of content

We figured as they had already put the time into coming up with a good idea, writing a captivating subject line and an engaging email, all the checkmarks of a good piece of content is done

All we’d have to do is format it and in theory, it should do well

It was just an extra piece of content so we didn’t want it to be something that took a lot of time to create

So we literally created two slides in canva:

A cover slide with bold text to put the subject line onto grab attention

And a body slide with smaller text so its easy to read

Then we’ve literally just copy and pasted the subject line onto the cover

And split the body across as many slides as necessary, depending on the email length

So far we’ve posted 7 newsletters as Instagram carousels with an average reach of 48,326 views

With the best one hitting over 130,000 views and the worst one at 19,000 views

And its not just surface level content, its content that deepens the relationship with their audience as there is a lot of substance and value to it

So if you’re already creating content for your newsletter, nows the prompt to try repurposing it into a carousel for Instagram and see how it goes

(make sure you’re cross posting it to Facebook for bonus points too)

Hope this helps,
Josh
